Ways to Support the MobilizationBecome a BenefactorAs you can imagine, hosting an event of this size and impact can be quite expensive, but Sojourners is committed to making it affordable for anyone who would like to attend. Would you help us make that goal possible? We are looking for a few special individuals to serve as benefactors by helping sponsor scholarships and lower rates for those who otherwise would not be able to attend the Mobilization to End Poverty. In return, benefactors also receive special benefits. The unsubsidized cost of attending The Mobilization to End Poverty is estimated to be $500 per person, and because we want to encourage a young and diverse audience, we want to be sure that everyone can attend. Our current registration fees will not fully cover the costs of this Mobilization. It is with your generosity and the support of our sponsors that we can continue to offer reduced rates, so activists of every age and background from across the country are able to join us in Washington, D.C. Register here if you would you like to go above and beyond by becoming a benefactor. Become a VolunteerThank you for your interest in the Volunteer Program for The Mobilization to End Poverty. Unfortunately we are no longer accepting applications, but hope that you will still join us and register here. Become a Team CaptainThe Mobilization to End Poverty is not simply a one-time event in Washington, D.C., but the beginning of a movement. After The Mobilization, we will continue to work together at the local and national level to end poverty. Therefore, we encourage you not to come to The Mobilization simply as an individual, but with others as a group and as a community. As a group, you will provide each other support in important anti-poverty work before, during, and after The Mobilization. If you would like to recruit people from your community to attend The Mobilization as a team, sign up to become a Mobilization Team Captain. Group rates and incentives for Team Captains are available. Email voteoutpoverty@sojo.net to for more information, or to sign up to be a Team Captain. You can download the Team Captain Toolkit here for logistical and promotional support. |
