Elizabeth Denlinger is the deputy director for the policy and organizing department at Sojourners. She joined the team in 2007. As part of her responsibilities, she leads the design and implementation of new campaigns and policy initiatives and oversees online advocacy.
Before coming to Sojourners, Elizabeth worked in women’s leadership and event planning for nonprofit organizations and was assistant policy director at the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Her social justice work is rooted in her passion for environmental conservation, worship at McLean Bible Church in Virginia, and her involvement with the International Justice Mission.
Elizabeth is from Gulf beaches of Florida where her large family resides. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Florida; has lived in Spain and Germany; and has performed internationally as a clogger! She also enjoys farmers markets, backpacking, and baking pies.
