Amber Hill
Administrative Assistant/Interim Intern Coordinator

Amber was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, home of The Masters golf tournament. While taking classes at Augusta State University she realized her passion to be a voice for those who did not have one. She received a Bachelor of Social Work to provide a foundation for advocating for social change. While in school, her campus Amnesty International organization was a great place for her to join with other individuals who believed in the value of every human life.

Amber married her husband, Zac, in October 2007 in Augusta and made the move to Washington a few days later. After getting acquainted with her new home and experiencing a real winter she joined the staff of Sojourners in February 2008 as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer. The position blends together Amber's skills, faith, interest in politics, and her passion for the causes of social justice and peace.

Amber and Zac love to travel and continue to explore the D.C. area and all of its exciting events. They enjoy experiencing new places, people, and cultures as often as possible. Additionally, some of Amber's simple pleasures include fresh flowers, reading, listening to music, cooking dinner with Zac, entertaining guests, watching movies, and going for walks around the city.
