Lisa Daughtry-Weiss is Director of Foundation Relations for Sojourners. Previously, she raised funds for the Food Bank of North Carolina, Oberlin College, and the Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA). Lisa was an intern at the Sojourners Neighborhood Center more than ten years ago in 1993/94. Her master's degrees from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University focused on nonprofit management, foreign policy, and poverty alleviation programs. Her undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill is in English education.

Lisa enjoys attending historical performances of music on antique instruments with her cellist husband Daniel. They are the parents of Matthew, who has a beautiful spirit about him and loves everyone he meets. Lisa has found a wonderful church community in the Washington area as a member of Hyattsville Mennonite Church. She joins whatever church in town is most committed to social justice issues and has good music! During her years in NY, Ohio, and NC, she has been a member of Methodist, Presbyterian, Mennonite, and American Baptist churches, which has given her a strong ecumenical background.
